Directly exploring 3D structure of toxins in ATDB2.0
Three-dimensional structure is a key to understand the molecular structure, function and their relationships. In ATDB 2.0, more than 3000 toxin PDB structure models can be directly shown in a 3D screen by simply a click, which may facilitate greatly users to exploring toxin structures.
Browser toxins by disulfide bridges pattern
Generally, animal toxins amino-acid residue have been distributed some stable pattern which constructed by disulfide bridges. It allowing key residue appropriate three-dimensional positioning on side chains which would favor optimal interactions with target receptor site of ligand. ATDB2.0 have collected 3844 toxins sequences from SwissProt/Trembl, RefSeq database, manually extraction references and some new spider toxins from Our Labrary . At the same time, structure information have been parsed and carefully sorted by us, which have been contained in download data. We hope the summary can give some help on research peptides toxins structure and function.
